Scheffler closes out the year with his 9th victory this season at the Hero World Challenge

News for the 4 Eligible Official World Golf Ranking Tournaments

PGA Tour - Hero World Challenge

Scottie Scheffler returned from a two-month break and nothing changed. He won the Hero World Challenge on Sunday with a 9-under 63 to tie the tournament record at Albany Golf Club and win by six shots. Scheffler, the first player since Tiger Woods in 2009 to spend an entire calendar year at No. 1 in the world, won for the ninth time in 21 starts (with seven PGA TOUR wins), a tally that included a second Masters title, an Olympic gold medal and the FedExCup. He started the final round one shot behind Justin Thomas, took the lead on the par-5 third hole, stayed in front with a 50-foot birdie putt on No. 4 and never looked back.

Asian Tour - PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers

In the end, The International Series Rankings race went right down to the wire as in-form Joaquin Niemann from Chile claimed the honours with a play-off victory in the US$5million PIF Saudi International presented by SoftBank Investment Advisers – on a final day that had just about everything at Riyadh Golf Club.

In an afternoon of constantly changing permutations, Niemann held his nerve on the second play-off hole to claim the 1,000 points for champion, seeing off American Caleb Surratt and Cam Smith from Australia. That result put him top of the rankings on 1,126 points, edging out fellow LIV Golf League player Peter Uihlein from the United States, who had been leading going into the final tournament of the season, by the slimmest of margins with just 13.3 points separating the pair once the dust had settled.

Niemann, captain of LIV Golf League’s Torque GC, was delighted to clinch the rankings title. The season-ending win in Saudi Arabia, with the largest prize fund on the Asian Tour, and a third place in the campaign opener in Oman proved enough to get him over the line. Niemann had finished on -21 after four rounds alongside Surratt and Smith.

DP World Tour - Nedbank Golf Challenge

Johannes Veerman of the United States secured a thrilling victory at the 2025 Nedbank Golf Challenge. Despite starting the final round five strokes off the lead, Veerman produced a stunning round of 69 to claim his second DP World Tour title by a single shot.

The tournament went down to the wire, with South African Aldrich Potgieter holding a three-shot advantage early in the day. However, a costly triple-bogey on the 12th hole opened the door for Veerman. Veerman capitalized on Potgieter's mistake and took the lead. While Potgieter fought back with a birdie on the 14th, a crucial bogey on the 16th ultimately sealed his fate. Veerman's victory marks a significant milestone in his career, especially after a couple of challenging seasons. His impressive performance at the Nedbank Golf Challenge has solidified his position as a rising star on the DP World Tour.

PGA Tour of Australasia - Victorian PGA Championship

Cory Crawford, a relatively unknown golfer from Queensland, has stunned the golfing world by clinching the Vic PGA Championship. The victory marks a remarkable comeback for the 32-year-old, who has endured significant injury struggles in recent years.

Crawford's final round 68, highlighted by several clutch birdies, proved to be decisive. He edged out American Tyler McCumber by a single stroke, who missed a crucial putt on the 18th hole to force a playoff.

The tournament was filled with dramatic twists and turns, with Anthony Quayle's remarkable comeback, despite a seven-stroke penalty in the first round, capturing attention. However, it was Crawford who ultimately stole the show, demonstrating incredible resilience and skill.

This victory not only secures Crawford's second professional title but also signifies a resurgence in his career. His determination to overcome adversity and his impressive performance at the Vic PGA Championship have solidified his position as a rising star in Australian golf.
